Shiver
Through twinkling stars and shining moon,
Raise a chorus more beautiful than any ever heard,
Of distant cries they do answer,
Voices riding the cold wind of the mountains,
Rising to greet the twinkling moon and stars.
Of wild stories and hunts they do sing,
Their whole lives poured into one single cry,
Through rain and snow their howls prevail,
Through death and the snap of the gun.
One girl sits alone,
By her window listening through the years,
Of the howls of her dear beloved wolves,
She listens for longer than one can remember.
Then one day came the yellow-eyed boy,
Distressed and streaked with blood,
He came and stole her h
